This is our most prized doll! A 1956 "Wanda Ski Doll" with her Snow Hat and Coat as described by the Instruction manual as well as her Impossible to find Original Ski's and Ski Poles. They used a common Wanda but added a Vinyl Head to her and gave her the special "Ski" footplates that could support a special ski made just for this doll. The Instruction sheet lists this Doll as a #640S Wanda, Ski Doll with a #645S Coat Hat and Pants suit. The Wanda Ski Doll with her Ski's and Poles is one of the rarest dolls made by Advance Doll and Toy in 1956. The ski's were made of a thin lightweight metal that did not rust and was better suited for her weight than plastic. The Ski's and Poles are original 1956. The idea was to get girls with their Wanda's to play together outside on a snowy day. That maybe why so many ski's found their way "Lost"
Wanda was packaged with a one-of-a-kind White box of which was only made for 1956.
